Part 107 is the FAA certification required to fly a drone commercially in the United States. A certified Remote Pilot has passed the FAA's aeronautical knowledge exam covering airspace, weather, regulations, and safe operations. Every pilot on Drone Your Own holds a current Part 107 certificate — so the person flying over your property is legally cleared to do the job.

Professional drone work should be backed by liability insurance. It protects both the client and the pilot if something goes wrong on a shoot. We require pilots to carry coverage and keep it current — you can hire knowing the work is protected.
